Performing Artists

Jordan Hawkins

L.A. based singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Jordan Hawkins builds a hypnotic atmosphere with his music, inviting the listener into an alternate reality that moves at its own unhurried pace. “When I was around 12 I sang my first solo in the choir, and it was really humbling to see people connect with me through my voice. From that point I decided I’d try to keep connecting with people through music.” The same year Jordan sang his first solo, he signed up for a classical-guitar class at school, and soon moved on to teaching himself rock-and-roll songs on an electric guitar given to him by his grandfather. By the age of 15 he’d started writing his own material, and quickly filled up an entire notebook with his original songs. Always one to take leaps, Jordan spent a semester at Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen during his junior year of college. It was here that he began performing his own material live for the very first time. Jordan continued this new found love for performing when he returned to the U.S. Collaborating with his college friends soon found Jordan writing and releasing his material for the masses. With his impossibly smooth vocals and powerful range, the 23-year-old North Carolina native delivers a minimalist yet potent breed of R&B, infusing each track with his one-of-a-kind guitar work: shapeshifting, meditative, endlessly expressive of the unrestrained emotion at the heart of every lyric. Now at the helm of his debut project, Jordan Hawkins is on his way to becoming one of music’s most exciting new additions.
